This 75-minute DVD is packed with information for the stillwater fly fisher. I tie 11 proven lake patterns that can be viewed in left and right hand tying modes. Favourite patterns include the Maroon Ruby-eyed Leech, Stillwater Caddis Pupa, Acetate Floss Bloodworm, and the Lady McConnell. The close-up filming of the fly tying sequences compliments the detailed narrative on what I am doing and tying tips. I then take each of these patterns to show you how to fish them and discuss the actual insect life cycle and presentation techniques. Some great fish catching action helps to complete the learning experience offered by this video.

I had the opportunity of partnering with Jack Dennis, one of the most respected individuals of the fly fishing fraternity, to produce this video. Jack owns and operates a prominent fly fishing shop and guide service based out of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. He has produced many instructional fly fishing DVDs. In this 2-hour video, I tie 12 favourite stillwater trout patterns based on the Stillwater Solutions line of fly tying materials. The patterns include the Red Butt-Red Brown Chironomid Pupa, Baby Damselfly Nymph, Stillwater Caddis Emerger, and the Black and Red Sparkle Blend Leech. While tying, I cover material selection and tying tips, and explain how and why to fish the selected fly patterns. The video includes on-the-water segments where I provide more information on fishing techniques.
